Forum Founder with No Administrator
As forum founder, how can you access the admin panel? Our admin abandoned the forum and I don't know their password and can't gain access to the control panel to install a new admin for the forum.

Re: Forum Founder with No Administrator
The administration panel is all the way at the bottom of the page. There is text that says "Administration Panel"
You may only see it if you are in fact, a forum admin.

Re: Forum Founder with No Administrator
Founder isn't the issue. Admin is. I have founder utilities access, but the administrator we had abandoned the forum. My problem is I am founder with no admin panel access. The admin must have changed the password to the admin panel.

Re: Forum Founder with No Administrator
There isn't a password to the admin panel. If you must enter a password, it should be your login password.
Also, have you tried this option in the Founder's Tool?

Re: Forum Founder with No Administrator
Yes, but I'm not the admin. I'm the founder. The admin left. How can I as founder gain access? I know admin name but don't have access to their email or password to reset the admin password. As founder I just want access to the forum to retake control of the forum and instate new admin.Ramdaman wrote:There isn't a password to the admin panel. Re: Forum Founder with No Administrator
It's best you ask the forum founder via email (or any other way you know) and ask him to give you his account. You would need to follow the guidelines in this link if you cannot contact the founder.

So what do you mean by this?
If you want to remove/add admins (as stated in your first post),
Go to the Administration Panel => Users & Groups => Groups => Group Administration

Re: Forum Founder with No Administrator
I am on the founders utilities panel for our forum, but  I cannot access our forum admin panel. When I try to put in my username or password for the forum as admin it doesn't work or let me on the forum admin panel. I can however still access the founders utility tools panel. I can't gain admin access anywhere.Ramdaman wrote:rooster wrote:Yes, but I'm not the admin. I'm the founder. The admin left. How can I as founder gain access?

So when you use the founder's account, you can not log into the administration panel? Can you log into the forum? If yes, then you should be able to log into the administration panel, too.

Re: Forum Founder with No Administrator
hey rooster, I understand your problem, because i am going through the same thing.
log in with ur Founder- e- mail as username, and with the pass you already have.
Maybe you log in now as "normal" user with a nickname and pass (diffenert from the Founder stuff) and thats why you dot see the admin panel.
hope this was helpful

Re: Forum Founder with No Administrator
I Think your a little mixed up
Founder = owner of the forum that made the forum from Day one
Admin means a staff member that has ACP right'
Just coz you have the rank founder it Don't mean you you have admin right's. its just a rank name.
Please Tell us witch Question fits best to your account.
Q 1 have you ever had the ACP rights that could be found at the bottom of the forum?
Q 2 Did you make the forum your self or did some one else make it?
Q 3 Did some one give you the forum after they left the site.
Q 4 Did a member of our staff here on the Support forum change your account to founder as your old founder was missing for over a year ?

3 would best describe the situation. I am not founder by rank. I have the founder credentials. I can provide them to whoever feels they can help out. I can put in my founders email and password on the FOUNDERS TOOLS UTILITIES page, however, I cannot log into the forum admin panel on that same founders tools page or the forum. Neither can anyone else. I was also a former admin to the forum and still get emails from the forum for user issues so I know my email is still in the admin panel someplace as well. I can log on to the forum as a regular issue. I do realize "rank" is just a name on the forum.

So you have the founder's account and can use it for the forum's utilities, but can not use it to log into the administration panel?

Re: Forum Founder with No Administrator
Can you log onto the forum with the founder account? If you can, I really do not know why you should not be able to log into the administration panel. Is the issue that you can not see the administration panel link at the bottom of the forum?

Re: Forum Founder with No Administrator
it sounds to me that there is a mix up of founder account info on the forum and the tools i think best way around this is to get the account info and ask for the pro admin to take a look tomorrow or one of us try and log in with the account info. that info can then be sent by pm to one of us staff members.
