I was wondering how I could get a staff chat, so that the Administrators and Moderators could enter this chat on a widget, but no other members? I have no idea what the coding is, or how to do it, so any help you can offer would be much appreciated!

Re: Staff Chat?
Hi,
What you can do is get a chat-box from the internet, and you can set the coding into a widget, and set the widget's permission to only staff by creating a hidden group for it? I'll search for a chat-box and post it in a bit.
Regards,
Sir Chivas.

Okay, any coding for a chatbox in the widget would be good. I heard people use chatongo? I don't know. Any help at all would be appreciated.

Re: Staff Chat?
Are you using the original chatbox widget? You should be able to change the permissions for that widget.

Re: Staff Chat?
Hi,
Okay, set up the chat-box to your desires and likes: https://www.chatbutton.com/
After completing that, they'll provide you a HTML code, copy the HTML coding. Second, you'll access your administration panel, go to modules. ( ACP >> Modules >> ForumWidgets >> Create new widget.) Paste the HTML code into the widget source part. Make sure to set up the permission where only your STAFF TEAM can view it. You can change the setting for that after adding it to forum widget management section.
Any questions? Feel free to ask.

Re: Staff Chat?
Okay, I have followed your instructions, however, there is a widget title that says staff chat, on the forum. As I have changed the settings so only admin/mods can see it, does this mean no one will see that widget title if they are not a admin/mod. Also, any member can access the chat... not just admins and mods.. how can I change this?

No, members are logging into it, that are not part of the Administration group, or Moderator group.

Re: Staff Chat?
Are you should that the permissions are saving?  Are you pressing the save button after changing the permissions on the widget?

Re: Staff Chat?
I am, yes. However, the thing is, I feel normal members can not see the widget, but the actual chat is not in a widget, it's a pop up chatbox in the bottom right of the screen.
