One message requirement for new user.

I'm here only for password recovery ( i found the faq topic,  but i can't send pm yet) and i have nothing to say now, except hello.
By the way - Hello, you have a nice forum .
I saw, that i'm not the only one with this little problem, so the suggestion is: Make some simple topic for new members, like a welcome or something, to post the required message or count "like" button as some sort of activity to activate the pm.
Just out of the curiosity, why do i have to post one message as new user?

We have this in place to prevent spam by PM from new registrations, as we get spambots from time to time.

As a new member i have tried to search for "welcome" with no results, afterwards i searched for "message", because i had to post one and found the link, that i posted before. I had briefly read the rules, but didn't found anything about this. Since i couldn't send the pm, i haven't notice the welcome message with link for introduction... so basically, sorry for spamming here.
