Opt out of Forum Boards?

On our site we have a group of forum boards that only apply to a small portion of the site. Is there a way to allow for the users to, in a sense, opt out of seeing those boards for a cleaner experience?

My thought was something like... create a group of opted out people, create a CSS Code (Script?) so that the group doesn't see those boards.

But I don't know if that's possible.

And I don't know how to do it.

You can create hidden/open/closed groups which have access to certain forums, that way you can add who you want and remove who you don't.

You can do this at your Administration Panel => Users & Groups => Groups => Groups administration
