I haven't seen a topic for this in the Search function and neither have I seen an official statement regarding this.

So, to introduce, I plan on developing an API for forumotion, which is currently in the very early development stage and which I aim for will be able to handle and process server requests (such as performing admin and moderator options).

I know that there is a request limit for each user, and in order to avoid hitting it, I plan on delaying requests if this limit would appear to be hit soon.

Is there any official information you can disclose or would I just have to experiment with trial and error?

I don't have a definite answer, however, I noticed that the request limit doesn't seem to be as low as it used to be. I performed a little stress test and noticed that it returned 503 after about 90 consecutive requests in 3 seconds.

You can see a change in the response time as well.

The response time seems to remain the same around 1 request every 1-3 seconds. I was using every 1 second with a tool I'm working on and didn't encounter any problems when it was getting multiple pages.

I'll work with a request limit rate of 1000ms then, seems fairly reasonable. Thanks a lot Ange Tuteur, I'll be reporting back once I have more concrete API designs.
