    Solved Domain Question

Post by MarcoNecroX January 11th 2015, 9:31 pm

    Hi,

    Suppose I have a domain "mysite.com" for a year.
And after 3 months, I decide to remove it (unlink it) from my forum.

For the remaining 9 months, will the domain still be owned by forumotion, or will it be removed?
In case it is not removed by default, is it posisble to request such thing?

    Hello @MarcoNecroX,

When you release your customized domain name (purchased via forumotion), it takes very long time for the domain to be officially available on the market again. Even if you request removing totally, forumotion is not a domain hosting company, instead they partner with one to provide us with domain names. So even if they cancel your domain, it will go under procedure of that domain provider, which usually takes longer than 90 days for sure.

    Hello

Indeed, once your domain name removed it takes time. Your domain name will be public just after few days.
You can read this announcement for more information: https://help.forumotion.com/t128121-domain-name-transfer

    Thanks for your understanding
