    Solved Topic Edits

Post by Eugeo Igvalt January 31st 2015, 5:47 pm

I wanted to know how to be able to make where you edit topics and content, how to for example if a user wants to write in red text or any color text they can just select the color and type in that color as they are writing whatever. I know it's possible, because it's possible here on the support forum and theres many more colors to choose from too. What do I need to do to make this possible in my forum?

    Thanks in advance

If you're looking for the advanced color palette, go to your Administration Panel => General => Messages & e-mails => Configuration => Type of the editor colors palette : Extended

If that's not what you're looking for, then I'm having a hard time understanding what you need.

Ok That solves half of it. Thanks a lot. But I also want it to be able to not show the bb code. Like here for example I just hit bold and italic and it starts typing in that way I selected. In my forum it shows it like this http://prntscr.com/5zdqnt I'd like for it to just type in bold and not show the code for it.

Oh, that is what we call What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) mode. To enable that by default, go to your Administration Panel => General => Messages & e-mails => Configuration => Activate the WYSIWYG mode by default in the posts : Yes

However, users can still individually set their WYSIWYG mode off by pressing the "Switch Editor Mode" button on the editor. (When posting a topic/replying)
