Hello guys I seen a similar problem being discussed on your forum and thought I would ask a general question?

I joined a forum a couple of years ago and was subsequently banned from it. The reason given was pretty trivial and I didn't really like the forum very much so didn't really care.

This forum unfortunately has quite a history of being somewhat unethical, and there were quite a few moderators on this forum who were demodded for various reasons.

I got into an argument with one or two of the members on this forum, mainly because of the double standards shown by the forum. For example a lot of posters were getting banned for various reasons, whilst other posters on the forum weren't for doing exactly the same thing or worse. The reason being is that they were friends with the administrators and/or moderators on the forum.

To cut a long story short I suspect that some of the moderators or administrators of this forum having been passing on details of me to third parties, or they have been using said details themselves. These details have basically been used for malicious intent, I can't really go into details of what exactly has happened, but this site has a history of doing similar stuff to other posters.

I told the administrator of the forum that I wanted my account deleted completely but he refuses to play ball. I was wondering were someone would stand legally in such a situation?

1, If the admin or mods wish to ban you then that is there wish to do so there is nothing we can do about that it is there forum and they can have who ever they wish on there forum.

2, As for passing on information of your account on to others well now there is some thing you can do as the law says that the account info is meant to be for Admin use only and should not be passed on to any one!

The problem is you Will need Proof of this info getting passed on to others without this there is not a lot you can do.

3, You can also report the site to this address https://www.forumotion.com/en/litigation/ but as already said you will need proof before going down this line.

4, Ok as for your account well we can do something about that.
if you give me in a pm the following info I can remove your account from that forum but your posts will still be live as we have no right to remove them posts but your account will be removed,

ok as this forum your problem is with is not a FM forum and is vBulletin system there is nothing we can do about it this forum is not hosted by us therefore you will have to Email vBulletin.com for other help

This problem is not a FM problem it's a problem of vBulletin.

so as we can not help on this matter any more it will be locked and placed in the Trash.
