Description of problem

Hello,

I recently purchased a domain name from Crazy Domains.

I have created a forum with Forumotion.com and I have read the tutorials on how to link the two, but I still get the same error, (in my screenshot). I have also linked the CNAME Record that appears under my Account Manager domain settings. It appears to be correct going by the steps given in FAQ.

In doing this I have waited for more than 2 hours, as it says to wait before global changes are made and I am able to link them.
Sadly this is not the case.

Please if you can help me, get back to me. If you need further information to help support my case, I would gladly supply it.

Regards

Hello

If you get this error message, it means your Cname is not well configurated Wink

I advise you to start from the begenning. There are three information to enter
1- Time to live:

Indicate your users will get in cache your pages. Choose a long period of time (around 15 days is enough)

2- Name:
It is the particle is the domain. For example:
name.your_domain.uk

If you want to have your forum on www.your_domain.uk, in that case the name =www
If you want to have your forum on forum.your_domain.uk, in that case the name = forum.... etc

3- Value:
It is the url targetted, the url of your forum

You can watch the following video:

The video is in French but I think it can help Wink

Thanks for the reply.

I have done every step as I have told you, even read your exact response in other members threads.

No help.

EDIT: Could you please look into possibly doing it for Crazy Domains.

Hello

Once again, you don't need DNS and IP to make a CNAME.

I made a Cname to show you it is very easy and fast.

1- Enter the administrative panel of your domain name provider

a- Edit the information of your domain name provider

For example, if you want to redirect forum.triaddict.biz to love.forumotion.com:
domain taken - Domain CNAME Error Cname110
-HOST = the particle of your domain name. In our example it is "forum" but it can be www.
-POINT to = url of your forum without http://
- Validate

2- Enter your forumotion forum (here love.forumotion.com)

Admin panel>> General>> Forum address

domain taken - Domain CNAME Error Cname210

3- Validation

domain taken - Domain CNAME Error Cname310

Depending on your domain name provider it can be immediat or takes 48hrs.
