Solved Regarding the mass PM restriction.

    Post by RsS.YuGi April 11th 2015, 9:12 pm

The mass PM function has always been a factor of stable activity on many sites including myself, the last restriction you added is affecting that, it's really bad, really annoying and made me really salty about this. Why would you do this, it hurts the activity!!

I wouldn't know if this's a "problem" to be posted, but maybe if you have suggestions on .. something around this.. or better, just remove the lame add (sorry)...

What restriction are you referring to?  Also do you mean the support forum or your forum?

Well it could be because there is a limit (50 max) on how many pm's can be in the boxes.

I used to mass PM about any new adds to the site, it always brought activity and people who stopped checking came back to check the PM and stayed, now I can't do so cause of this new restriction. I get why you added, but it really is affecting the activity on my site. And this's just too sad.. specially it's cause of something the "mother forum" added.

New Students is the group including all the site members, currently the site has 1195 users, meaning I can't do any mass PM anymore =/

Nevermind.  I made a mistake.  The group had less than 1,000 members.

It's alright SLGray, I know there's nothing that you can do anymore, but I just needed to post this, let's assume it's a complain! an add Forumotion made that's actually being a factor of a site failing.

    Hello

As SLGray said, there is no a limit of 1000 members per groups to send a mass private message. You can read this tutorial: https://help.forumotion.com/t139881-how-to-send-a-mass-private-message
The reason is very simple. It is to avoid overloading of our servers. You can use newsletter or split your students group in 2.

I know it is annoying for forum having big group, but we didn't have other choice.

    Thanks for your understanding  :rose:
