Member showing logged in but is not?

Ive just had this email from a member.

"Not sure what's happening here, I've not even changed the password, I've left it as 'southwales' and it's acting up again ? I'm getting the home 'log in' page asking for my username and password but when I enter the details it stays on the same page still asking me to log in however my name shows at the bottom of the screen as being logged on, I'm not sure what your doing to reset things but it seems to work for a short while but then it fails again. Sorry to be a pain in the arse but I don't think it's anything I'm doing"

As well as Ange's question... Is your member ticking 'Remmeber me' when he logs in? If not every time he closes his browser, it will ask him to relogin because it does not 'remmeber' him logging in. This feature, however, requires and uses cookies to work. So try to find out the answer to Ange's question as well.

I have asked and all other forums he is using is fine ie remembering his passwords and automatically being logged in.
