    Dude, its based on post counts, when you reach a certain number of posts then it will automaticly make you a forum member. Just relax a big, help a few members out and you will see you get it in no time.

    Hi, for reference the following ranks are attainable by members.

    Posts : Rank
    0 : New Member
    25 : Forumember
    50 : Forumember
    100 : Forumember
    250 : Forumember
    500 : Forumember
    1000 : Active Poster
    2000 : Hyperactive

    The ranks give you no special advantage, they're merely cosmetic and reflect your post count. As for coloured names, they're only given to staff members of the forum, and staff in training.
