Solved Specific User Messing Up Posts?

Post by Zeedief June 11th 2015, 9:41 pm

Okay, so I have a really weird issue on my forum, at http://thenforumsite.forumotion.com. Whenever a specific user, Dark Jester, posts, the buttons at the bottom of his posts (the normal quote, etc. buttons) are messed up, being not on the background, and occasionally in threads he's posted in, the quick reply box is much smaller. I'm not exactly sure what's causing it...I noticed the issue about a year ago, but he left the forum and only recently returned, with the same problem occurring again each time he posts.

Hmm... What kind of stuff does he post? Does it screw up only for him, or others as well?

Actually, I realized he does use a lot of BBCode in his signature just not posts. I removed unnecessary code from his signature to test if it would work, and it fixed the problem! Thank you!

Your welcome! Yes I found this out the hard way, excessive BBCode use can sometimes mess up the look of a post. To prevent this, just make sure all tags match up.

    Example if you have this
    Code:
    [u][b][scroll]
make sure all of thr closing tags are done in that exact same order:
    Code:
    [/scroll][/b][/u]
, see? Doing this can help ensure it does not mess.

Glad that helped solve your issue. Your welcome for the help and will be glad to provide it again anytime. Smile

More likely the issue was that some of the codes were missing closing tags.
