I am a member of a OMGFORUM.  I can't see any option anywhere in my profile on that forum that will allow me to delete my account and posts.  Please advise how I delete an account from a OMGFORUM please.

only an admin /founder of your forum can remove an account i would ask you to PM or Email your admin and then tell the member it will be deleted in the next 24hrs or what ever you feel best.

That's crazy that only the founder can delete my account.  What happens if he refuses to do so?  My account has attributed over 1/3 of the total post count on that forum.  What if he refuses to delete my account in order to keep his total post count high?

Surely as the account holder of any account on any forum I should be able to delete my own account without having to ask somebody else to do it for me.

P.s Deleting an account does not lower the post count or remove the posts made on the account, it just deletes the account and changes the name all the posts to guest.

Are you sure this is an option to delete an account including all posts made on that account?  It seems to be a link to "unsubscribe", which is normally a term used to request prevent notification of a new post in a given thread.

Positive! Forumotion is required by law to provide a means to delete accounts on any forum. Thats it.

No it will not delete the posts themselves, but change the name on all of them to 'Guest'. This is done as you said to prevent forum count drops and so it will not throw off and conversations or threads .

The account and all information in the profile and stuff will be deleted though.

This link I have been given does not delete my account from a OMGFORUM.  Either nothing happens when I enter my details and press validate, or I get an error page saying that a connection has been lost.

Can a SUPPORT staff member please address this issue or can somebody show me how I may submit a support ticket.

Hmmm... Have you put the details in exactly as they are on your account? May you provide a screenshot of the error message you get?

I reported to you earlier that your account deletion service (what you call the "unsubscribe from forum") wasn't working, and I asked you to have my account on http://thebugforum.omgforum.net deleted.


If it's not too late I'd like to cancel the request for my account to be deleted, but would ask that you still investigate the proplem with the unsubscribe from forum be looked into.
