Solved This site makes use of a SHA-1 Certificate

    Post by Michael_vx Sat 11 Jul - 12:05

This site makes use of a SHA-1 Certificate; it's recommended you use certificates with signature algorithms that use hash functions stronger than SHA-1
this message appear on almost every site when i press F12
on forums my forum even on this support forum
i would like to know more about that what is this message about
    reasons of it
could be a solution to it
    im so confused about that
also i need to learn how to use the F12 better
    thank you

    Hello,

    What browser do you use?

I also admit once or twice on a couple Forumotion forums, I have gotten certificate not valid errors or whatever. It was only temporary and has not happened since. I checked to make sure I had sync turned on on my phone. On a computer it could be a hardware issue.

Have tried accessing the sites from any other devices? If not and another device is available, I would recommend giving it a try, because I know sometimes an older computer or one with worn hardware with 1 part can cause a ton of annoying certifcate issues. I have had this in the past with 1 computer, a shared computer. Very annoying and I am glad I have other devices to view sites on other then that.

It sounds like an issue with Google.  There are links on own forums that are linked to Google.
