    Solved Ad.Fly Issues upon login

Post by Rachel Fox July 14th 2015, 4:34 am

So I haven't had this problem until recently on my forum, which is at www.infamousreborn.com
I've been told this is device sided, but it's not, I'm fairly sure it's web-sided.

So my problem is, when I try to log in to my main account on the forum, it redirects me to an Ad.Fly link, and since I have AdBlock, it blocks the ad. The problem is, when I hit skip or anything else, it sends me back to the login page, without logging in. It's only affecting my user and it's very frustrating. I've had to make another account to use until this issue gets fixed.

I can successfully log in on any other user, except my main one named "Rachel".

Does anybody else know of this issue?

Ad.Fly is actually a virus that high jacks your browser...

You need a to find / download a cleaner that will delete it. I found this site for you. Hope it helps.

But it would still make no sense that this is only happening on 1 user and not my other two. Also, even when visiting other websites, I don't get Ad issues, it's only happening on my forum, on my one account.

Hi Rachel Fox... yes it seems strange, but there is an infection on your web browser with Ad.Fly. I suggest trying what i posted above and see if it solves your problem.

Nothing changed, I even tried to do it manually, nothing changed.

Sorry for this double post, but it's a website sided issue, I've made the existence of my browser indisputably non-existant. I even tried to log on on Chrome instead, same issue.

What I'm thinking is, somehow, my account on the forum got injected with something.
But I hope that's not the case, because that'd be a huge issue, if it is, I'll just have to delete that account.

LOL That's not the reason. Adfly is just from the wonderful spam blocker Forumotion uses. If you try logging in using an email that's deemed spam-like, it would redirect you to the Adfly page. It did it for me for a bit too. All I did was change my email and then it no longer was an issue. XD

I'll check if that's the issue, but it shouldn't be. I've had my account on that forum for some time, and for it to randomly appear like that out of no where, it's kinda suspicious.

Do you have other accounts under that same email?

No, but it seems to have worked, I'll try to see if changing the E-Mail back will cause this error again, just to confirm.

Well that does seem to be the problem, I changed the E-Mail back and it does the same thing, so the E-Mail was the issue. Although I don't see why my E-Mail was only now considered spam after several months of not being considered... maybe it's because something one of my acquaintances changed in the user settings. He did say he changed something but it shouldn't have affected me, which it looks like it did.

Thanks for the help anyways I love you
