Can I transfer an SMF database to my forumotion forum

I have an old database I backed up from an old Simple Machines Forum I had with very important research. Is it possible to transfer it to my current forumotion forum? 

I don't need the entire database transferred, just a certain board.

Are you about to create a new forum, or are you wanting to transfer it to a forum already created?

I would like to transfer that old SMF forum database to my current Fourmotion forum, or if necessary I have to setup a new forum if that's the only way I can do it.

I know you can import a database when creating an FM forum but I'm not sure about an existing forum. I'll ask my Pro Administrator.

I'd appreciate it. Please let me know what my options are. I'd rather use Forumotion than to have to open a new SMF forum, to use the backed-up SMF database.

You can import an external forum to Forumotion when creating a new forum. You can find the importation tool at the last creation step. Please find more information here:

About your old database, I cannot tell you if it will work. You've to test and if you don't manage to import the database, please contact the team working on forum importation. The email will appear at the end of the process
