2 Forumcolumns on 1 line.

I was wondering if it is possible to create 2 sub forums / forum columns on 1 line. 
It is not the tutorial about multiple forums in one. But like the picture I have added to this (See spoiler).

I am using PHPBB2 for my forum. I think it's something like javascript and an ID I have to put in the template to make it work, I had something similar to my memberlist, but right now I want to do this trick with forums. 

I hope someone can help me with this and I also don't know if I posted this right.

It is as accurate to what you're asking.

That's not what I mean. What you mean with the tutorial is, 4 forums in 1 forum. But there's only 1 information thing at the right side. I want every forum to have their own "box", not 4 or 2 in one "box". See the picture I put into the spoiler.
