Favorite Free forums system?

My forum has been hosted here for 8 years and has 500,000 posts and a 1000 members. But forumotion lagging behind others like jcink. An unfortunate truth.

Forumotion needs to improve it's technical support. Ange Tuteur is the best ever, but he can't manage ALL the technical support section by himself.

For your own hosted site, phpBB is good, but more advanced.

He doesn't have moderation permissions for this section, he is a reviewer, a reviewer can only moderate the review section. He can't merge them for that reason.
