#1758 Files are missing on posts

@Buttercup Any files that I got in my forum topics are missing and are not visible.This is a global problem.

What do you mean by files? Do you mean attachments? If so, what do you mean by them missing?

Yes. Any files that I've uploaded in the topics of my forum gone.

Hmmm.... Are you sure that you or anyone else did not delete them by mistake?

Maybe your storage has reached its limit or expired.

Check under Admin control panel > Misc > Credits management > Spend Credits > Storage

(make sure you're viewing your ACP in advanced mode, otherwise you won't be able to find the 'Misc' tab.

Well herr is my thing, what makes you think its global issue? I can see the attachments on my forum. It must just be an issue with your forum somewhere.

I think it is a global problem because there are no files on over 100 topics.

Well if it was a global issue it would everybody and their forums, I can see mine perfectly fine.

For me it is a global issue because all missing files of the themes in my forum.

Yeah that means it is likely an issue with your forum and your forum only. A global issue would mean it effects every forumotion forum.


Are you viewing the forum using an admin account?

Today I was informed users that no files for download themes.

Some of the team will take a position on this issue? All my work for 4-5 year will go in vain.

Were you viewing the forum from an admin account? If not it could be a permissions issue. If so, may you run a simple a test for me?


May you go to your profile (edit profile, not view profile), find the attachments tab, see if the files are listed there. If so, then your files are still there.

All files them in the admin panel, but do not appear in the themes of the forum.

If they are listed, it means they are still in the system and are still there and not deleted. It is possible that maybe you are having trouble finding the topics that have the files in them?

I looked over 30-40 themes that have uploaded files, but none of them show downloads.

What do you mean by themes? Do you mean topics? If so, if there are a lot of topics on a forum, it could take a lot of looking to find the topics with the files. They are there though.

Alright, try this: Where all the files are listed in admin panel, in a column, for each file you will see an action icon, hit that icon and it will take you to the topic that file is in. That way you can find it.

Our technicians found the problem. Your files will disappear right now. They also management to make an attachment backup. However, all files upload after July 1st won't back
We apologize for the inconvenient... Thanks a lot for helping us solving this problem!

@Buttercup I did not understand well what you say.

1. You will see the files uploaded to the topics and can they be downloaded?
2. Files uploaded after July 1 will not be repaired?
3. The administrator should make a backup of the forum today?
4. You will be restored, all files uploaded to the topics?

Sorry I said "won't" instead of "will" (it was lunch for Lunch )
1- Now you can upload files without risking of losing them
2- Our technicians made a backup so that all files uploaded before 1st July come back (=> No back-up needed for the founder)
3- All files uploaded after 1st July are lost. The admin or members should re-upload them...
