New Users Can't Make Accounts

Good evening!

I'm an admin at MDA (mdayakashi.forumotion.com). We seem to have a problem in that new users cannot register their accounts. I've gone through all the settings panels, and in the Users & Groups section, "Allow New Members" is ticked to Yes already. I've tried marking it to no, refreshing it, then marking it back to yes, refreshing it, and having someone try to make a new account, but it simply still gives the message saying the action is forbidden.

I'm not the most adept at user panel settings, but this is the only place I can think of that should be the problem. Perhaps I'm missing some information or have overlooked something? Any insight to how to correct this would be greatly appreciated as I have members waiting patiently to register their accounts.

I'm afraid that's not it, apparently. I've clicked it to No, saved, and had someone try opening it in a fresh browser, but the message comes up still stating admins have forbidden any new members. Is there anything else I ought to try?

Technically, no. It was made last year, and then inactive for several months. The forum founder recently reopened it, and so we've only been on a week or two to notice this issue. I noticed it the first time about two weeks ago when I couldn't make a new account, but thought it was just a glitch since my original account was still active. But now after going through the settings I'm not sure what to do to fix this.

Yes, it had been inactive, and the forum's main admin must have changed that setting. I'm so glad you had a solution.
