No Title Showing

Administration Page, General tab, Site name, Site description... so this is where one sets a title and description, okay, sounds simple enough but then when I preview my site the description is there but not my title. It's still reading 'Modern and Futuristc Theme'

VERY ANNOYED at the time so far wasted and that I then needed another account here, just to ask a simple question that should never need to be asked in the first place. HOWEVER if anyone can explain this I would be most thankful for your time.

I believe the title you're trying to change is a banner. It can be replaced or removed by going to Admin Panel > Display > Pics management > Advanced

After this, you should see the banner image under "Forum main logo" in the "General / Explore" tab.


Also, if you want to show the title text, go to Display > Headers and Navigation > Display forum title : Yes

I chose the theme that I did, because of the banner. I thought my new title would replace the words 'Modern and Futuristic Theme' --but apparently not. So my only choice is to remove the image banner because who would want those words? And then.. my title turns up in a plain and boring bold text in a plain and boring white box that isn't modern or futuristic. So, to get the banner as shown with my personal text in place I will now have to search for the font used and make my own version of it. O.M.G What a disaster this could turn out to be, pity.

In the section where description and site title go, after clicking the save button only a description shows up, because you have to then click a few more sections for the title to show up also, even though they are both just text and going to the very same place. Well, gosh, thats about done my head in for the night then.

You could request that the banner be modified with the text you want in the graphic design section: https://help.forumotion.com/f31-graphic-requests . A banner is an image, which someone created, therefore the text has to be changed on the image itself.

As Brandon mentioned, you can request for it to be edited. I actually think one of our designers -- Leah -- made the theme you're using, so it may well be worth a shot. Regardless, you're welcome. Don't worry about asking questions, because the Admin Panel can be a labyrinth.
