Facebook like button is stretching the page

Good morning all,

Wow I have not been here in a while, I LOVE what you have done very impressed, wish I could do the same but am not tech savey as you all know who know me hahaha gotta laugh right=D

Okay well when I click a topic it flashes a white screen before it shows the postings?

Good to see you.

I believe that's due to a problem with the facebook like button in topics at the moment. I've reported the problem, so hopefully this will be fixed soon.

This is what I know technically ; the iframe which holds the facebook content is 1000x1000 pixels before loading, after it loads it goes back to its original dimensions.


That's an example with the facebook connect, but the same thing is happening with the like button as well.

Yes it seems to be, it seems to be associated with the Facebook like system, it is not known whether the issue is on FB's end or FM's end at this point in time. I believe the techs are trying to find a solution.

If you turn off the Facebook like feature this should temporarily fix it, I also hear there is some css that can do the trick as well.

Indeed, a temporary solution would be to override the height attribute applied by facebook, forcing it back to the default dimensions.. vertically at least. You can also specify width too, of course.

May you please tell me step by step how to fix this turn off the face book like button?

I am not good at doing these things so step by step would be appreciated I dont know about codes etc

No problem.

You can turn of the button by going to Admin Panel > Modules > Social Networks > Facebook

At the bottom should be an option to enable and disable the like button.

You're welcome. It was disabled globally until Facebook is able to rectify the issue I believe.
