Admin no longer running forum, no new users can be added

There is a forum about Hi-ace vans. I was reading it before a lot of times, but now I wanted to join the forum, just as a normal user.
But my account didn't get activated, which needs to be done by the admin.
After a while I checked it, and the forum seems to only have one admin. And that admin hasn't been online for months. I also didn't see any other new users on the forum since the date he last logged in (in June this year). So the forum is still active, but the admin is not, and new users cannot join. I also sent him two e-mails, but didn't get a reply.
I noticed he sold his van, and even made topics asking who could take over the Admin account, since he was no longer interested.

So what should we do with this situation? I would like to join the forum.
And it also needs an Admin.

Try to contact someone else on the forum.

I can't contact them since I'm not a user. And I don't think they can change anything, there is only one admin.

Can you see their profiles?  If yes, checkout the contact section.

Try Private Messaging(PM) Buttercup and see if she can do anything about it.

I sent Buttercup a message, even though it looks like he has PM disabled.

I can see the profiles, and there is a contact session. But if you click PM, then you should login. And I don't have an account there because the Admin isn't active anymore

Also, there is no other point in contacting other users on the forum. They also don't have any rights to change anything. There is only one Admin account.

Some profiles have links to websites or emails.

Buttercup should have her pm box open now.

Buttercup already pointed me to the right procedure to take over Admin rights, after the Admin has been inactive for 6 months. The admin is now inactive for 5 months, so I can do this only in one month from now.

As far as I can see there are no other moderators or admins on the forum.
