    Those are BBCode tags.

ltr = left to right  (Text will be aligned to the left of the page.)

rtl = right to left  (Text will be aligned to the right of the page.)

Ooops . I guess I assumed that if I clicked a different margin it would fix it . It did not . I should have waited for a solution before I clicked solved . lol .

    Just when I type . Didn't copy anything .

In fact the part I copied , the bottom half , does not have the code . The top half , the part I added ( typed ) does have the code . The part I copied came from within my forum . All of it is my words .

Are you serious right now ? I am going to do everything I can to keep my temper . When I realized that I had marked the topic solved and I still needed assistance . I came back to find it locked . I then made another post . At that time you told me I could PM SLGray to have the solved icon removed . I admitted my mistake . I thanked you for the information . I then PMed SLGray . He responded with the link to this post . As asked I edited the title . then I came here to find some BS warning . I do not need this type of run around and disrespect .

Thank you anyway I would rather have my forum screwed up than have to tip toe around this support site trying to please the moderators ( which obviously will never happen ) . As this has happened many many times in the past . It could be a week before someone around here gets done moderating me and actually starts to help me with my problem .

I believe you are misunderstanding the issue.  You created two similar topics after your other topic was solved and archived.  That is what we are referring to.

APE merged one with this topic, and the other one was locked:  https://help.forumotion.com/t145429-ltr-annoying-code-again  .

Solved Re: What is this annoying code [ltr] [/ltr] ?

Post by Ape January 20th 2016, 5:18 pm

Hello @azwiz you made 2 posts about the same problem after this one i added one of the 2 to this one so we can keep track of what your problem is the other one was Locked so there was no mix up.

If you mark a topic solved you can post in that topic saying it is not solved and PM a member of staff asking to have the icon changed again the best way to do that is to go to the bottom of the forum and see what staff member is online and then PM them then the solved icon will be fixed faster.

If a member of staff is not online then you can still pm one that is not on at that time.

My warning was about making 2 Topics after this one not about any other topic.

We work hard to make sure the forum is clean and the members get the help they want / Need.

    The problem in hand:
As you have already been told this is a left and right code it is made when you ask the page to start on the left of the page or the right of the page like in this screen shot >>What is this annoying code [ltr] [/ltr] ? Captur64

Now when you copy a post this is already in place if the post was submitted that way so there is no need to press the buttons again as its already in place

If you press the place left again it makes this code
    Code:
[right][right]The apple fell from the tree on my head Ouch  :( [/right][/right]

as you can see it's now giving 2 rights on each side the forum will only read one and make the other one a code not read like you are getting on your forum.

    The way around this is:
once type your post out and copy the text from a post click on this button.
What is this annoying code [ltr] [/ltr] ? 121111  Now look for the Codes in your text and remove them  as your codes are
    Code:
    [ltr] [/ltr]
     remove them

    Now as for the dots:
    They are list tags
    Code:
    [list] [/list]
in the full editor you will see this button
What is this annoying code [ltr] [/ltr] ? Captur65 as you can see in yellow
to fix this just highlight the text that has the dots next to them and then press that button until ots no longer got the dots next to it

or click on the same button as i showed you before and look for the codes
    Code:
    [list] [/list]
    and
    Code:
     [*]
    [*] and just remove them.

You most always only get this problem if you are making a copy of a post from someone else or if you copy a post that is already made with them tags in.
