Solved Creating A Link To Our Mobile Website In Our Forum Footer?

Post by Rukiafan February 23rd 2016, 10:17 pm

Hello! I'm the owner of WiiWareWave.com

I'd like to create a link to the mobile website that is accessible to all browsers and devices. Is there any way to do this? @Ange Tuteur I summon you once again! xD

Whichever device you are using the forum will automatically show the correct version.  Am I misunderstanding what you want?

I want users to have the choice, too many mobile devices automatically load the desktop version of the website, plus there's no way to return to the mobile version once you choose to view the desktop version. Wink

There should be a drop down menu at the top which contains the link for classic version.  Then there should be a link in the footer links for the mobile version.

We customized our footer template before the mobile addition existed, plus it doesn't work for mobile devices that don't automatically load the mobile version as Forumotion's coding is very finicky about which mobile devices it considers as "mobile devices". Razz

Use the link below to create a toggle link for the mobile version :
    Code:
    <a href="/index.forum?mobile">Mobile</a>

Note that it will only work for certain browsers.
