Sponsored content: New advertising format coming soon on Forumotion forums.

Dear users,

We wish to inform you of our decision to add a new optional advertising format on Forumotion forums. it's about sponsored content that will be added to the end of forum topics.

Why add a new advertising format?

Forumotion is a free service but paid by advertisements that appear on your forum. You may have noticed, we make every effort not to put lots of ads banners and other intrusive formats on our forums: 90% of the time, only one banner is displayed on the forum pages!

But with the increased use of AdBlock and lower overall CPMs, we have no other choice to maintain the quality of our services than offer this new advertising format.
We are also working on new projects for you this year, which represents a significant investment for us.

How to support Forumotion?

By choosing to display this new ad format, you allow us to find suitable income that will be reinvested in the platform. But that's not the only way to support Forumotion. You can also ask your members not to block our ads on Forumotion forums generally.

How to disable the sponsored content ?

This format will be displayed at the bottom of the topic's page to limit the visual impact. It will be activated by default for the guests on forums but it can be displayed for members & guests or even its complete deactivation remains free if the forum administrator doesn't want the content.

The forum Admin has these options in his administration panel >> General >> Configuration a new option to manage these new ads:



Of course, forums that have paid to disable forumotion ads will not have the new advertising feature or even the option in the admin panel.

The publication of sponsored content on forums will be arriving shortly. It can be done this afternoon hopefully.

We understand that this may annoy some of you and we apologize in advance. But as said, we really have no other choice. Each admin is free to support Forumotion by keeping this new ads activated if desired. Otherwise, know in advance that you can disable them with a single click.

Alright, thanks for the update. I was wondering: I always pay like one year in advance to have the forumotion ads and copyrights disabled. Because of lower overall CPMs, will those prices go up as well in order to maintain the same level of support, or are they going to stay the same?

Thanks for the providing infos @The GodFather. I can't find this option on the ACP I followed the steps but this option is not visible.

if you pay for Ad's to be removed then the settings will not there there.

what is the Forum URL you are talking about @Van-Helsing

Hi! Together with the new update, the number of messages on each page in every topic on my forum changed from 15 to 25. Does this have anything to do with the update?

This have anything to do with the update! we didn't change anything about the number of messages on each page.

You can manage that on your admin panel >> general >> Messages and e-mails >> Configuration >> Posts Per Page

Have you used credits to remove ads from your forum?  If yes, the option will not be there.  If you do not remove ads, the option will be there.

Morning did not use credits (no deductions) but I do not see the option in my forum is Best-gaming.net

You're right.

These sponsored contents (Taboola ads) are not available in certain languages. It concerns the languages with a non-Latin alphabet because Taboola can't display ads in these languages.
