Disappearing Posts

Description of problem

One of my members brought up that this thread that was originally 60 pages long was now 37 pages long. I further asked that same member if there was another thread that was missing posts, and he was. The thread that he posted was origonally at 19-18 pages and now he's at 12. You can see this thread here.

This isn't just happening on my forum. I noticed on other forums that some of their bigger threads was missing pages too, like for example this thread (If you need a test account I can provide one), and a lot of threads in this particular forum (which is btw phpbb2), and all of the guess who threads here

So is there a way we can get our missing pages back? It's not just happening on my forum, but affecting others as well.

I believe your pages are not missing rather the posts per page have expanded due to the new advertisements at the bottom of each page feature.

Okay, but then where did the posts go? Like, I can't seem to find them on the forum anymore.

Do you have two topics with the same topic title?

I know for my forum we don't, however for a forum that I did post they did, but that was because that thread got over 999 posts and was automatically split and that split was before 2016.

Are there really missing posts?

It's 25. And after doing some math, posts don't really seem to be missing. So I guess that member thought posts were missing because posts per page increased. Alright then, thanks for the help.
