We get "Your session has expired" error when moving a topic

The error appears immediately after clicking "move this topic" from the drop-down menu.

I searched for solutions here and found two (clearing cache and using different browser) which didn't work.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

You must clear your browser's cookies, cache and browsing history. Furthermore restart your computer to clear any windows caches.

What exactly does the message say? May younpost a screenshot of the message? Does it happen on all browsers and devices? What is the url to the forum?

It says ""Your session has expired."

We tried FF and Explorer.

Here is a screen shot.

Try clearing cache and cookies in the browser(s) again, clear the forum cookies.

This is a message that really more of an issue created by a browser, there is really little else you can do to prevent this other then keep clearing cache and cookies in the browser, clearing forum cookies. Sometimes refreshing when you get this message helps also .

Exactly if you are doing many moderation options at one time, you will get this message sometimes. I mean back to back.

Is it happening for all of the staff members?

Try to resynchronize your forum, go to your ACP(Admin Control Panel) > General > Forum > Configuration > Misc options* > Resynchronize your forum : tick the checkbox and press submit.

Could that lead to the loss of crucial data?

No, it is just synchronizing your forum's data in the database it is not removing anything.

That didn't work either.

In addition, we never had this problem in over eight years. So we infer that the problem must be on your end.

PS. We use phpBB2. Can others with the same version test their own threads?

Yes, as it seems the problem is still remaining we tried some things without result and all of your staff members facing the same problem. Lets wait patiently someone from the staff to report the problem to the technicians.

It is not an issue, this has been around for awhile.  When I am on my forums and trying to do moderation, sometimes I get this message.  Usually it happens when I am doing many things back to back.

Thing is I don't think it is a global techicial issue as it doesn't seem to be happening on all forums, I can move topics just fine on all forums I am a mod/admin on including here on the support forum. If it is not happening on all forums or if this is one of the only reports we get, how can know for sure it is on FM's end?

All I mean is, that if there is any possibilty it is not on FM's end of things and it turns out to be a thing that happens only on a certain forum or maybe from doing alot lf moderation actions back to back like SLGray said, then we won't have to bother the techs over it. The techs are very very busy with tons of issues right now, I just want to be 100% sure it is on our end before we make a report to the techs.

If anyone else has had this issue before on their forums, then may you please let us know in this topic, please include a link to forum(s) this has happened to as well as a screenshot of the issud if you have one.

We would appericate it greatly.
