Forum Search Engine

If I happen to perform a forum search for a particular forum topic, the key search word is entered into the "search box"

Example:
I enter a key search word eg. "Programs" in the search engine, the results displays "Search found 6 matches for "Programs".

Next:
Click on the first topic; 1 of 6 topics opens and it contains 3 members posts/replies/solved/ or in progress re-"Programs".
In order to open the next topic, 2 of 6 matches, the first one opened has to be X closed and the key word "Programs" has to be entered again, in fact, 6 times in order to read all 6 matches and topics found.

Is there a way that when the first topic, 1 of 6 is closed the search engine results reverts back to the original page that displayed all of the 6 matches found. Currently the key word "Programs" requires re-typing the key word word 6 times into the search engine box to continue reading the original 6 matches found.

If possible it would be a nice feature if all searches could be read with one entry into the search box. Maybe I'm missing something?

Right click the topic title and press open in a new tab. In this way, the search results page is not closed.

Are you searching by posts or topics?

When your topic has been solved, ensure you mark the topic solved.

Mainly searching for interested Topics that may relate to my search query. I tried what you suggested, "Right click the topic title and press open in a new tab" Yes it opens the first topic, but from there I see no way of going back to read the second or third... related topics previuosly posted unless the new tab is closed and re-typing the key search word again to select another topic found in the original list of the original index of search topics found. I may be asking too much?

Problem solved at 2:0AM this morning LOL.
When you enter a key word into "Search" eg "Programs" the search presents an word search index of 6 matches (topics) found, the 6 topics contain a total of 11 posts. When the first topic is opened you can read the first topic post and the replies from the members or forum mods.
To move on to the next topic in the index all that's required is to click on the magnifying glass by the search box and it automatically revert back to the initial search index page were you can select the next topic without re typing the search word. When searching my forum, version phpBB3, when the search index appears I just hit the browser page back button and the main search index re opens.
Practice makes perfect, familiarity is the key. Search is a great feature for new and old members. You guys at Forumotion are busy enough, I can't say enough on how police and handle all the daily requests and queries. Good Job!

To avoid duplication and keep your workloads down, if I have a problems or requests;
I usually perform a search for similar topics before posting in the Help Forum .
