In progress Members logging in Issue

Post by richard liggins 2/9/2016, 18:14

    Hi

I have had a member say he cannot log into the forum using his details, after I logged out I tried to get back into the forum and did with no problem.

I asked in a post for a few members to log out and in again into the forum to see if it was isolated case of this member not being able to log in or a bigger issue.

Two manage to log in with out problem and one has the same issues as the one wh brought this to my attention.

The issue are from the member who PM me are

"It won't let me get as far as a password Richie. Won't accept on and keeps trying to change page or also keeps asking to autofill password!!! But won't let me type it!! I get the impression some other site has piggybacked onto the log in page!!! And is creating hell!!"

Your help in this matter would be appreciated

I have paid for the adverts to be taken off the forum which has allowed both members to log in but one of them is still getting the spam pop ups

This problem doesn't occur to me so it's probably something in your country that's why. Are ads disabled for guests too or just for members?

    Luffy Hi

    Guest to

This issue was reported to me by one member, I hadnt come across this personally so I asked a few members to log out and log back in again.

3 members did this two got back in with no issues and one had the same problems as the one who reported it, ie bombarded with adverts when trying to log in..

I then decided to deactivate the adverts which allowed these two members to log in but one is still getting this spam pop whilst in the forum,it could be more members who are having this issue but not reporting it

    Hello,

For the user who is getting the 'spam pop up' , may you ask them to clear their cache and cookies and see if that helps? If it doesn't, then it is probably not a forumotion issue. If all adverts are disabled, then the ads cant be causing their problem.

    -Brandon

    Hello,

Is the member still having thos problems ? I have seen that you have paid to disable ads for guests and members on the 4th so it shouldn't have this problem. Also if you can tell us the location of the member, if it is a problem with a banner from one of our ad providers we cant to be able to identify it quick and the location would greatly help.

    Thank you,
