When the problem appeared : I attempted to Split the Topic from the Quick Mod drop down menu at the bottom of the page.

Description of problem

When I attempt to 'Split this Topic' using the quick mod drop down menu at the bottom of the page, I am redirected to a blank forum page instead of the post selection screen.



The topic I am attempting to split is in a forum with permissions set to a specific usergroup, if that has any relevance.

Make sure that you're in that usergroup yourself, cuz if it's set to only be visible and usable by that group then you may not be able to edit it unless you're part of that group.

Are you a member of a group that moderates the section where you want to split the topic.

Seems like this isn't just an issue this user is having..

This is a glitch on Forumotion's part, and SLGray has already reported it to a Pro Admin. All we can do now is wait for an update from the staff

Hopefully it's resolved soon!

It could be related to the software update that was announced on Twitter and Facebook.

In my forum http://www.mygarminsatnav.net/ i'm facing a problem with the option to split a topic. Although i can see the icons of moderating tools at the bottoms of the page and the options of quick moderation tools too, there're all active, when i try to split a topic i get a blank page. All the other tools i tried working OK.

I can't split topics at all, and sometimes (like 50%) I get the same problem trying to edit posts. Same type of popup thing screen,

Same problem with me... "split this topic" not in funkcion... just to report...

Any word on this? I'm in need of this function to moderate areas on my forum(s).

No there will not be any word on this bug yet it's on the list of things reported and we hope to have some news soon please remember we have had a weekend and our head office is closed at weekends so there is no one in the office to fix this until a week day.

i go to try and split a topic and it goes to a mostly blank screen. see the forum, but not split options. i have split many things in the past, so i know how it works.

@multiverse; Forumotion staff is aware of this issue and it isn't happening only to your forum. All forumotion forums - including this one - have this problem and it's due to Forumotion's recent update.

Seeing as this has been reported, I shall be posting here to obtain any updates that may be placed here in the future. Thank you, Staff, for your quick action and support. Hopefully this can be resolved soon.

Good news is the update to fix this is now gone live

It should now be fixed for all of you.

We are sorry for the delay on getting this fixed but as you know some bugs come and it takes a little time to fix them.

last two weeks (apr. from 1st of January) moderators have some problems with moderating options.
Mainly, I talk about lack of availability for ordinary moderating tools (delete posts)and it's not available for moderators to make any topic as "Sticky", and "admin" and "administrators" have no options to split topics.
This is really annoying and make some problems with Forum life, especially in situation when we have an increasing line of posts and interesting discussion in last month. (Yup, our Forum is now on the good way Smile )
Could you, please, check it?
