Hello.

When posting a new topic I am getting the following error message: Flood control is active on this forum, please wait 5 second(s) before replying or posting.

However, when I get the error message the topic that I was trying to post did actually post. Why would that happen?

If I would have waited and posted it I would have had two posts. (Double posting)

I hope this makes sense.

ADmin panel....General Tab..forum ?...Security ...Flood control.
Delay between 2 messages, topics or private messages by 0

Hmm that is strange as the system should read your last post and if set to 10 seconds or what ever it should not let your post go.

do you have any JavaScript's running to remove the post made screen ?

if yes then this maybe why as it removes parts of the system from running.
if no then i am not sure what is going on as i can not make it happen on my site or here.

We don't have any java scripts running. I have set the flood control to 0. Hopefully that will work. Thank you so much!
