Can't add new administrators

As title, I have tried changing the user permissions and also adding them to the "Admin Group" but it just reverts back when I click "add". Am I just being stupid?

The only time when I can think of it doing that is when you have misspelled the username you are trying to add or the user doesn't exist.

Are you doing this in the administration panel?

I'm picking the username from the list, so no misspelling and they definitely exist!

Yes I'm doing it via the administration panel.

Don't copy and paste the names as this can sometimes put a space at the start or end of the name type it as it is on the forum.

I am definitely not misspelling the names, or putting a space anywhere. I put the name in, click "add member" and it takes me back to the home admin page with no warning or error messages.

Also, if I go to the user, and modify their permissions so they are an Administrator, and save, it again takes me back to the home admin page and doesn't save it. One of the members was an admin, and I don't remember taking them off, so it's almost as though the number of admins is being limited.

Are you the founder of the forum and are you in the founders account when making this change ?

I have just tested this setting on my forum and test site and Don't see a problem.

Yes I'm the founder and yes I'm logged in as myself. Maybe it's my tablet, I'll try on the pc tomorrow.

Yes it could be down to the browser or mobile setting that is used on tablets.

It could be that the tablet is having an issue keeping your session up to date. If you are in the AP for a long time and not clicking any links or buttons, your session will expire. When you try to do something, it will load the AP homepage.

Update: It was something with my tablet, I've no idea what, but it seems fine on the desktop.
