by Paull April 2nd 2017, 10:46 amI am a member of a forum whose domain name has expired. I am getting no response to emails to forum administrators. Is it possible to take 'ownership' of the forum to reinstate the domain name or alternatively create a new domain to point to the forum?

Thanks for that. Since none of the currents admins are responding I guess we have to wait six months. Other members will probably have moved on by then.

Yeah, sorry. That's the policy for taking over a forum's ownership-- 6 months and 1 day. Good luck to you!

Yeah, but sadly we would lose all the valuable information that members have contributed.

While that is true, but only if the previous owner doesn't show up in that 6 months and 1 day period.
