If I post a link to a post on twitter, twitter will then show that link up with a twitter card. The twitter card will show with the image of my board logo.

Is there a way that I can change the board logo showing on the twitter card and instead add an image of my choice to show instead without having to change my logo.

THis is how it shows at the moment by twitter picking up my logo.




This is how I would like it to look by using this image of my choice.

As far as i know there is no way to change this as it's a plug in from twitter it's self and not anything to do with us our end so sadly No i don't think this can be changed.

I was just wondering if perhaps the url to the image could replace the logo meta tag image within the html.

No i don't think that would work as it's just looking for the main logo on our servers.

It's possible to change this image by modifying the forum templates, it's not impossible. Go to Admin Panel > Display > Templates > General > overall_header

Find :

Code:

{META_FB_LIKE}

and add this meta tag after it :

<meta property="og:image" content="YOUR_IMAGE">

Make sure to replace YOUR_IMAGE with the image you want to show on the twitter card. When you're finished, save and publish the template. You can later use https://cards-dev.twitter.com/validator to validate your card and make sure the image has been updated. Sometimes pages can be cached, so use a page that you haven't validated yet to confirm the new image is working.
