Just Bought a Domain via FM

Hi, I bought a domain from Forumotion yesterday. I know it takes a few days to go through, but how will I know when it's active and then what is my next step.

1) Do I get notification that it's active?

2) Do I have to manually change the address to the new domain address via the personalised settings or will my url automatically change?

3) Once it's changed if anyone clicks on the old link of boardname.forumotion.com do they automatically see the new url in their browser once connected?

4) When it gets near to expiring in a year's time will I receive a reminder or do I need to make a note of the renewal date myself?

5) Will I be able to renew it before the actual day of expiry?

1) If i remember correctly, in your admin panel, (Summary window) it will notify you that the domain name is active.
2) Once activated, you will need to do nothing,
3) When someone click the old URL, it will take them to the new domain automatically.
4) Yes, you will be notified when the time comes to renew your domain
5) you could, but i would suggest you do it before hand to avoid any issues.
