Change e-mail address

Hi, is it possible to change my e-mail address on this forum.

If you are wanting to change your email used here on the Support Forum, just click the "Profile" button on the top of the forum in the black navigation bar and in there you can change your email. Just change what you want it to be and click Save at the bottom.

Tried that, put in my new e-mail address clicked on save at the bottom, but my old email address appears.

Just tried again, same old e-mail

Does it give you any sort of error message at the top of the page as to why it didn't change it @peter59?

Only this "You must fill in the required fields." I did complete all required fields, but on clicking save the old e-mail is displayed and the fields are empty.

Can you take a screenshot of your screen when it gives you that error?

I changed by password, prior to trying to change e-mail address could that be a problem.

Just logged in out and back in, same problem>

Ah! One other thing, go to the new email that you are trying to use and there should be a validation email from Forumotion. Make sure you accept it to validate the new email.

nothing as yet.

Make sure you check your spam folders as that can also be where some of these emails may go depending on the email client.

when you look down the page there is a set of things marked with a * this means you have to fill in this before you can save any thing on your profile

like Email address *
Username* and so on  make sure they are filled in before pressing save

completed all fields. However there is this one "Forum (Forumotion only!) * : " do I need to put my new email in here as well.

No. That is for your Forumotion forum. You put your forumotion forum URL in that field.

Done that, received an e-mail. to activate I clicked in link provided.

when I come back to this forum I'm getting

"To activate this user, you must be logged in to your account before clicking on the activation link !"

I am logged in. but still showing old e-mail.

Gent's success. completed again received another validation link, which worked. Thanks for your help.
