Hello Everyone
Use to love the old "Pro wrestling" from the 1960s to the early 1990s on Ulster Television (U.T.V) and live at the Winter Gardens on holidays each year in Blackpool.
Stars like Big Daddy (Shirley Crabtree) taking on Giant Haystacks (Martin Ruane), see The Last Outlaw has Hulk Hogan (Terry Gene Bollea) as one of his all time favorites, Giant Haystacks comeback into the ring 1995 was to take on Hulk Hogan but sadly it was not to be as Martain took very ill and died a few years later at the age of 52.
Gary 'Catweazle' Cooper (famous for licking a lucky toad between rounds), Mick McManus (William George Matthews) and Pat Roach (Francis Patrick Roach) the bad boys of wrestling, Pat is best known by most as Brian "Bomber" Busbridge in the comedy-drama Auf Wiedersehen Pet while William was best known as the "Man you love to hate".
Just but a few of the old gang that brought great joy and laughter to people like myself in them days if growing up.
My granddaughter loves that WWE Raw wrestling but it hasn't got the same buzz as the old style I loved.
Love Liz
