Hello,
What does net nuetrality have do with a forum?
Also Net Nuetrality means all sites load fast, without it some may load slower, but they will still load.

Are you referring to some governments trying to regulate the Internet?

That is what I was asking. The government is trying to control the Internet.

No
We want net neutrality. If you do a Google search, you will see that Firefox is running a campaign to tell the U.S. Congress to leave net neutrality alone.

We still have forums with net neutrality. You do understand that net neutrality is what we have now.

We can't say if we will be blocked or not as we have no power over this so really you are asking us something we will never know until it's done.

I'm sure you aren't the only one. Is your question answered or shall I move this to be a discussion thread?

I seriously doubt any isp is gonna block sites in the usa even without net nuetrality, they may slow down the loading speeds dramatically but I doubt they will outright block it. I mean the usa is not known for being that censored to block stuff like that and I think companies would get major backlash if they did.
So even without net nuetrality, the forums themselves should be fine, but they may load much slower without net nuetrality.

Net Neutrality
Hey everybody!
So I think everybody heard about net neutrality bullsh** going on in USA. I was wondering where does Forumotion stand in this topic? Would Forumotion be affected by USA laws? Is it based in EU or USA? Are Forumotion servers in US or EU?
Lets hope it will not be approved after all, but just in case it is, it would be good to know, how Forumotion will be affected by it. If it will be affected at all.

Is it based in EU, US or ASIA?

Forumotion is the English version of the main company (France).

From my understanding ,net neutrality will allow the "BIG" companies to charge you for faster internet speed and allow them to promote their sites, with priority to others, it's all about that mighty dollar, as far as i see, i doubt it will affect the forums, they will still be forums out there and the only issue will be your internet speed loading them. I could be wrong but this is my understanding of this in a very simplified version.
" The FCC just voted to gut net neutrality rules, letting Internet providers like Verizon and Comcast control what we can see and do online with new fees, throttling, and censorship"

our servers and systems are all over the place but the service is from France (the EU) The USA has no power over this service but they can slow things down there end so it may stop you the members from the USA seeing our forums. it maybe that you pay more to your ISP to get better speeds or to see more.
To me this is wrong you pay to use the internet and it cost to much at the best of times but to make you pay more to see some things is dam right out of order.
the Uk we pay by the speed and the way it's used here and yes some sites are blocked for safety by the ISP but most of the time this is things like hacking unsafe sites listed all over the world.
So i can't say what will happen but maybe a call to your ISP will help as they will know more then we will.
