    I finally got registered, but then could not do anything when I tried to respond to a posting. Said I had to log in, then said my info was invalid... so I re-registered with new info. Then it won't let me send a msg to that person because I am new. Msg said to contact admin, but when I try, I get similar message that I cannot contact anyone for 7 days.

    This note went somewhere. That is limited progress.
    How do I get to an admin so as to find how to contact the person posting the item I am hoping to buy?

    Hello,

    Did you activate your account? Did you get an email with a link to activate your account? If not, the forum is probably set to admin activation only and you will have to wait for an admin to activate your account for you.

    I never got email to first time I registered, so did not activate.
    Yesterday I re-registered using different log-in name, etc and received email and activated it. Then, when I found the posting that had started me looking into this forum in the first place, it would not recognize me as a member, said I had to register, Said I had used an invalid user name or password, so I registered AGAIN, got an email again, and activated a second time (as MtMan2)

    But, then it would not let me communicate with the person who posted. Said as a new member I must wait 7 days.

    Is that in fact a rigid rule that once I found it, I cannot contact the person until a week after I am activated?

    It was a posting by PMcfall on May 20 regarding a Bomar Rib sight.

    Are you trying to post a link in the forum ? like an address or some sort or a URL if yes that's why some forums stop members from sending links on the forum until they are members for a set time.

    There should be a contact link at the bottom of the forum. Click it and fill out the information. It will be sent to the administrators of the forum.
