{username} wont work

I'm about to redesign my webpage: www.vielamort.net with my own code.
I noticed that the code: {username}

doesn't work anymore.

Why and are there other options?

It has to work as an welcome guest/username

There should be an

after that, but there is nothing..

It almost looks to me like toolbar is covering it. Try removing the toolbar and see if that fixes it.

Edit: Never mind I see what you mean, when it first appears the username should appear next to it, but there is nothing. That is strange, unfortunatelly code isn't my strong suite so you may have to wait for @Draxion or @Ape to help you.

I think it is an issue specific to her forum or maybe even just the one spot she is using it. Her design is heavily coded it seems Ape. Do you know if heavy use of code could interfere with it working properly?

For your question regarding if you can make it say something when someone isn't logged in, the answer is yes. You can use this part of javascript.

but what about information as: Private messages, profile and log out in the header when you are logged in?

They're completely separate. I didn't touch any content in {GENERATED_NAV_BAR}. My solution is only leave a text in a certain position.
