I'm having trouble trying to access my forum site, I know my email that connected to my website for the forum itself that I created on my own. So for some reason, the site does recognize the email but won't send it to my email since I can't go into the admin to change the disallow password reset and have it set to allow so I can receive the info and change my password. Can anybody help me please so I can get back to my site up and running.

SL Gray, this topic is ridiculous, I have read and fully understood it but like I said I have no other way around to access the disallow send password by turning it off so I can receive it in my mail. I have already done the steps and it annoy me when I get drag into this ridiculous topic. You guys are the only one who can view it on your end since I'm under Forumotion website and using their tools to create a forum. Why put me in here when I already know the basic on how to click forgot password. I don't like having to repeat myself and find myself in some serious frustration.. I'm gonna ask 1 more time SL Gray, can you please listen to what I'm saying other than dragging me into this like I'm dumb or something. I have said for the 2nd time that I cannot access my forum site since it said I need to change disallow options by using the Admin Panel. So the question is how the heck am I gonna get into my forum when I forgot my password. How can I have access to the Admin Panel to change the option when I'm require to type a password in. How hard is that for anybody to understand my frustration instead of dragging me into this idiot topic that totally way off the point. I'm not a little kid that can't read or understand the process.

Let me make this Clear SL Gray
I have already said I click on forgot password on my forum site trying to login as a Admin. It said the password is wrong, so I did some digging trying to find my password that I have written in my book somewhere. While I went through them, I realize most of stuff was in the storage lock up. So I decided what the point going through all that when I already know my email being connected to my forum site. Therefore I type in my user name and click forgot password, it ask me to put in my email and so I did. I put in my email and it said it was sent. While It was sent, I login into my gmail account to view my email nothing showed up. I was confuse like WTF, when I went back to my forum site, I didn't see that it said I need to login as a Admin to change the setting Disallow to Allow sent password to email. Therefore I didn't realize about it until now, so I had to register a new account to contact SL Gray since I've known this person such a long time. He been around the forum for many years helping people and this is the first time I get drag into this idiotic topic that I already know about. I don't mean to offend but it just really pisses me off that I have to read and then find myself that I already did those step. Sometimes I'm under a lot of stress and I don't like having to sit here explain every little details. But I do know my forum site, and I do know my email since I can have access to my email account but I don't have a way around to access my forum site since it blocking me from receiving it since it set to disallow send password to Admin. It so dumb and to tell the truth I didn't realize that until now. I can fix that in no time once I can get help getting this sorted out other than letting it get under my skin reading some dumb basic topic that I already know.

Hi,
Okay first of all I've merged both your topics since we don't need multiple topics on the same issue. Secondly SLGray has pointed you in the right direction for recovering your forum.
Send me the following via private message and I'll send you a reset password email to the email you used to create the forum.

No it has not been solved yet, I'm waiting on SLGray to figure out what going on with my Forum. He did send the password but for some reason it saying the password is incorrect and the user name isn't correct either. Make no sense, I also notice the Disallow password is still active and it need to be turn off. The question is how is there a another way around to turn that off

Now I need to ask are you trying to copy and paste the new password ?
If YES that is your problem.
You have to type the password 100% the same as it is in your Email we sent you.
The copy and paste Don't work on the password side of things.

Ok, I did tried the password several times and realize I put the wrong word in the password. For example I thought l-means I but really l-means L so I had to check to make sure what the difference between those letters using the notepad and it helps. I retype the password and was successfully able to get into my forum site. Thank you very much SLGray for helping me out man. Thanks for the tip APE and um Derri I know you been gone for almost like a week, I'm just gonna go ahead and say thanks for stepping in as well to help out. It been a long tough week for me and now my frustration is fully satisfied. Thank again, the problem has been resolved today.
