In progress Sub-Category Issue. (Not appearing)

    Post by Babybok 23.01.18 10:08

    Hello, Good day forumotion.

So I have an issue with the Sub-Category that I can't resolve on my own. I just want to ask if this is possible in the forumotion. I ahve search many times in the search bar and I can't find the solution from this problem. So my problem/issue is that whenever I will make a sub-category inside a forum or category, the sub-category is not appearing and all of the forum of that sub-category is combining with another forum in other sub-category. Anyways I don't want this to be complicated to your understanding all I want with the sub-category is to seperate in each other. See photo for more info.

This forum has 3 sub-categories, but they've combine in one box only.

This is what I've made in the admin panel, 3 sub-categories in a forum.

So what I want is to be seperated each categories like in the home page that I've right now.

    PS.
I've already checked the split categories on index in MEDIUM

Hope anyone can help me with this problem/issue. thanks in advance.

    Best regards,

I think you have it set up wrong looking at your forum settings
    this how it should be.
as you can see in my screen shot
The main forum is your basic forum the next one is my Sub forum.
Now to make it a sub forum you need to link it to the first forum, You do this by
The following when making a new sub forum.

Next to the Main forum you click on the green Cross >> + Now this will give you a screen like this.Sub-Category Issue. (Not appearing) Captur75

Enter your name of the forum you want (I have named mine My sub forum for you to see.)
then Save. Now your done your sub forum is now made.
    See screen shot:
    Sub-Category Issue. (Not appearing) Captur76

Also can you give me a screen shot of the following page
ACP >> Display tab >> Homepage >> Structure and hierarchy >>
Note your sub forum can be linked and not like full forums you need to try the following setting.

Is this even possible to do via template or not?

I don't get it, what does not look right? is it the categories? if you mean I will remove the categories and replace with sub-forum and enalbed the Sub-level links on index, Then that's not what I wanted to..

For information of what I want to achieve, will show in this 2 pictures.

    Before

    After

okay I found your problem you are adding a category to a forum you can not do that as the system is not made that way you can only add a forum to a category not the other way around.
