[Only Topic] Inappropriate ads

One of my members sent me a screenshot of this Ad that is being advertised on my forum to my guests.

This is unacceptable. Members who are logged in do not see ads, but guests who do not log in see ads and I do not want this type of content being shown. If this continues I will delete my forum and move everyone to a new platform.

We do not allow these types of ads on our platform, once and awhile one or two of these types of ads will sneak through. We can have them removed, but we need some info before I can make a report to our head office on this.

We know it can be hard to get this info, but it is nessecary to identify which ad provider and stuff the problem is through.

I just want to re iterate Forumotion DOES NOT allow or support these kinds of ads, if you get us that info, we will have it removed.

I will work on getting this information. Some of my members are deeply disturbed by this. I bought credits to disable ads for members. I cannot afford to buy more credits and disable ads for my guests. Can Forumotion do a courtesy and do this for free until we solve this issue?

Sadly we will not offer to remove them for free but as soon as we get the data asked for we can get them removed really fast.

I just received this one (and it's the 2nd one if it's kind I've seen on my board, this one is by far more offensive than the other one) still trying to capture the other one.

I've seen these porn ads on our login portal while incognito with Chrome. I normally don't use the incognito feature but tried it today just to figure out why all of a sudden ads appear there once I log out of the forum. Even clearing my browser does not remove them the next time I revisit. I know we have to wait till Monday, but frankly, this is ridiculous. No wonder Chrome is right to state Forumotion is 'not secure'. Too many bad ads are making their way through your site. I'm not bothering to login anymore; I don't want to take chances. Better to be safe than sorry.

The not secure thing has nothing do with the ads. That purely has to do with Google's push for https. Any site not https (having an ssl certificate), will show as not secure. It really has nothing to do with security of the site itself (all forumotions forums are 100% secure).

It is normal for there to be ads for members and guests if you have not paid to remove them. We do not, however, support ads with nudity in them and when we are given the proper info, we have them taken down.

so my adops manager just found the issue, the adult offers were served even though they should not have technically speaking, so now we disabled them for the whole company to be 100% sure.
