Hi. I have looked around but have not found information on these questions, so I thought I would start a new topic for them.

As our forum is expanding and members have posted more and more content, we have become aware of several apparent limitations in the displaying and searching of topics. I hope some or all of these can be addressed.

1. The forum displays only up to 7 pages worth of topics, and while older topics continue to exist, they are not visible on/accessible through that page view. Is there a setting where the number of pages of topics to display can be altered to more than 7 (ideally, infinite)?



2. In profile, one has the option to view all of one's own posts (I can see in my case 8 pages worth of posts--per topic--and I assume this is not limited by the apparent 7-page limit mentioned above). Is there a way we can make it possible to view every topic started by a specific forum member? (I mean that I could have all the topics I started displayed, but also -- if I chose to look for them -- to have all the topics some other specific forum member started displayed.) I know these capabilities exist on other forums, and I hope there is a way to do that here in Forumotion.

I think your problem is you are in a free package
to get a better search you need to upgrade to the Advanced package atleast.

Thank you for the responses. I cannot find any evidence that this has to do with the type of Forumotion package I have -- unless someone can confirm that they have a pay package and that they have these capabilities. If it makes a difference, the forum I have seen having an unlimited number of pages listing topics and the ability to search for all topics started by a specific user was not a Forumotion forum.

It should show more in the profile system.
i tested this on my forum and it shows 20+ on my site so yours will be the same as all our systems are run the same way.

as your forum gets used more it should show more.

Update: I discovered the answer to one of my questions. There is a way to view all of the topics one has started, by going to Profile, Statistics, Number of topics.

Half solved. It is still unclear to me whether there is (or isn't) a way to have the forum show more than the most recent 7 pages worth of topic listings. There is a suggestion that perhaps that would be found in a pay package, but no proof that this is in fact the case, and the provided links (which are otherwise useful) do not indicate anything along these lines.

The feature 'view all' posts uses the search feature to find and show all the posts, this search feature has limitations and can only show so many pages of results.

Edit: After checking this via my profile on the support forum here, it appears the maxium posts it can show is 337 posts. If someone has more then that many posts, then they will not show all of them.
