Lock post for new reports

Hi, I have activated the reporting system on my forum: http://www.ex-iskon-pleme.com/ version: phpBB3

I wanted to know how to disable this option: lock post for new reports

or to make it only available for administrators? since I dont see the point that someone posts something which should be reported, and then he locks the post away for reporting!?

Try changing the permissions: ACP -> General -> Reports -> Permissions

yes, the one with the lock..

That option is limited to Moderators and Administrartors. Users should not be able to lock topics.

Only Moderators and Admins can use that option, although it still may be visible to users they cannot use it.

Thanks Chanel for taking the effort in registering on my forum and checking it personally!

No problem! I thought I’d check just Incase only you could see it as an admin, but all users can see it but only admins and moderators can use the function.

Hello,

To get rid of this is simple, go to ACP-->Display-->Pics management (advanced mode)-->Buttons--> Find the one for 'lock post to reports' or something like and remove the url to the image.

This will make it impossible to lock the report, because there is no button to push.

Now you might want to save the url of that button in a word doc in case you decide you want to re add it later.

but as Chanel tried, the members can't use that lock option, which is important to me in the end, correct?

Well if your happy with the way it is now, then your of course welcome to leave it as it is.
