Description of problem

Only when the OP edits a post does the "Last edited by..." message appear or counts the edit actually happening. Is there a way so if one of our admins edit a post that is not originally theirs, it will show the admin who actually edited the post last?

Also, is there a way to disable the "Last edited by..." for just ONE specific forum in a category?

Thank you to anyone who can help me with one or both of these requests!

It does not matter who posted the message, whoever edits the posts should have their username in the last edit message unless it was just right after you posted the message.  Also there is an option to give a reason for the edit.

Solved Re: Last Edit Help

Ah for some reason leaving the "reason for editing" blank made the last edit disappear. I'll let my admins know to make sure that's filled so the notification comes up.

Thank you for that tutorial link @skouliki that worked. However, now the edit text is larger than my standard font for the rest of the site. It happened after I replaced

Code:
class="gensmall"

with the tutorial code
Code:
class="edit"

Is it possible for me to have both those class codes? I simply tried putting the 'gensmall' code after the 'edit' code but it didn't change the font size back.

Last question - is there a way to only remove the "edited X times total" portion of the notification?

Thanks guys!

@skouliki this forum should be veiwable by all guests. Before replacing the ‘gensmall’ code from my above post, the “last edited...” text was a smaller font size. I’d say around 10 or 8 size, when now it’s larger than the standard font size of post.

EDIT: i just went to verify that forum is viewable as guests, and it is, but the “last edit” font appears smaller when viewing as Guest than when i am signed into my account and viewing it. Everything else font size is the same (material in the post) it’s only the “last edited” font that changes

Simply put this to your CSS
Code:
span.edit {
    font: italic 12px Arial, sans-serif;
}
