    Hello,

Have you tried clearing your cache and cookies? It should disappear after hitting accept or close.

    What about skouliki's?

eta: yes, my main forum is ok, but not my test forum

Once I'm logged in then it's ok, but it's very annoying for a guest.

On this support forum I can make it disappear then when I click on Portal it comes back.... Confused

Yes, I've tried different browsers, and I've just cleared my cookies again but no difference.

Thank you skouliki, I'm glad it's not just me.

But when I've tried to visit your forum recently the accept and close button issue just makes me give up and go away! It takes up quite a bit of the bottom of the forum.

I'm sure this must be happening with other forums and they could be losing visitors or even new members.

    Possibly.

    Hopefully there's an easy fix....?

The only thing I can click is 'Learn more and manage my cookies'. The other two links don't work.

And I might add if a new person clicks the middle link and sees a whole page of text of 'Privacy Policy' they certainly won't hang around!

Yes, just to guests. Once logged in it's fine, but it's enough to put guests off from hanging around or even registering especially if they see that 'Privacy Policy' page.

I've just deleted the forum cookies on my forum and got this

The best wat to fix this is to turn off your JavaScript one by one then try it using some other browser,
When you turn one off then clear your cookies and then try again.

So say you use Google Chrome all the time log in on that browser as founder.
Then open up say Firefox and try your link's once clicked refresh the page and see if it comes back or not if yes then try the next JavaScript until it works.

    Interesting...

I've got squillions of javascripts on my main forum but haven't got any issues with the 'Close and Accept' thingy.

However, on my test forum, I've only got a few javascripts. I've just turned off all javascripts and the 'Close and Accept' thingy still doesn't work on my test forum even after deleting forum cookies, clearing browser cache etc.

And the 'Close and Accept' thingy still doesn't work on skouliki's forum - unless she hasn't sorted it out on her site.

    Confused

Q1, Have you made any change to your templates ? if yes try and turn then off and see if it still shows your problem.
Can you send me a test account by PM with a link to your test forum please.

I will then run some short tests and see if i can find the problem.

Hello I have took a look at this for you and have seen the same problem I have made sure your forum has no Javascripts working in the background and still the problem is there.

I have also found one other problem.

when you click the Welcome in the toolbar it don't come up with a dropdown

Tome this looks like a template problem

When i get home i will make a report to out tech staff to look in to this some more as you are not the only one making the report.

Can you try and turn off your templates just for a test and see if the problem is still there before i make the report.

Hello @JKH our tech team have been on your forum and found the problem.

They think it is down to the widgets you have if you turn them off the problem is no longer there.
Please turn off your widgets and test for your self.

You may need to go in to each one to find out what one is making the problem Smile
