Image insertion is broken on main page forum posting

its adding some kind of code after the image and does not look good. this is only happening on the forum section connected to converting the forum post to appear on the main page.

Is this happening for just one user or all users? I had a look at some other topics around the site and they do not seem to have the bit of code at the end.

i notated in the message its in regards to the topic associated with the main page. i knew it was a universal thing because tested with a guest account on a different browser (firefox, as opposed to being logged in with chrome)

Is the stuff it adds visible in the editor if you try to edit it or is it added after the page is rendered?

How was the image exactly added to the post:  host an image button, image button, or coding from somewhere else?

the added stuff doesnt show when editing the post. fortunately, it does not show on the main page.

how i added it was just like normal, clicking add image in the post panel and inserting like normal. tested in another portion of the forum and it worked correctly.

Do this: edit the post and make sure you are in source mode. Copy and paste what is in the editor here using the code tags.

It looks like there is some kinda coding that is part of the image's URL.

i dont know what source mode is, much less how to use it

well, what i was kind of hoping was you all fix whatever in the forum baseline coding bc this is far from the only time the forum section that converts to the main page will be used.

it did not do this before under the old domain name before migrating to forumotion.com.

plus, its not just doing that to the images in the post. its also adding that to all signatures of everyone posting.

i was informed that this is a problem is on our side so you have nothing to do except wait until we post a patch and fix it

This appears when you have a smiley/ image in the title



if you remove the smiley from the title, everything will be back in order

removing the smiley fixed it.

for reference for you all, i also tested on a forum section not connected to the main page and the in the title did not affect the picture in the post or signatures.

can you please confirm that the issue is solved now ?
